How the Holiday House Competition Works

The Glens Falls Holiday House Competition is also open to business window displays this year! Here are the details:

• Deadline to register: WAS Thursday, November 20 at 5pm but EXTENDED to December 2
• Voting opens: WAS December 1 at 10am NOW December 4
• Voting closes: December 22 at 5pm
• Winner announced: December 24 via Downtown Glens Falls Facebook and Instagram

The Glens Falls Collaborative's website is where to go to register your house, and then after that period has closed, where you'll go to see the map of participants and vote.

Don't Miss Out On This Ultra Festive, Walk-Through Holiday House Attraction

Many locals in Glens Falls know about Paul Smith's festively decorated house on Clayton Avenue, across from the high school, because this family has been putting on this display for decades!

Don't just drive by - pull over, park, and get out, because there's a lot to see and the public is welcome to check out:

• Interactive displays with over 40 push buttons
• A life-size nativity scene with 3-minute show about the birth of Christ
• A light-up Santa in a helicopter on the roof
• A 55-foot illuminated Christmas tree
• New as of last year: a toymaker display, with animatronics from the original Magic Forest tin Lake George

Although this house isn't in the competition, it's a must-visit when you're driving around!
