The South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade
Sunday, November 18, 2018
There is nothing like a parade to get you in the spirit of the season. Don't miss the 39th Annual South Glens Falls Holiday Parade on Sunday, November 18, 2018!
The Holiday Parade takes place every year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The parade will travel north along Route 9 through the Village of South Glens Falls from Carriage Traders to The Peppermill. The parade will showcase dozens of entries, which include community groups, bands, floats, costumed characters, marchers and of course, an appearance by a very special guest: Santa Claus!
This year's Grand Marshal is The Chronicle, represented by Gordon Woodworth and Mark Frost. There will also be a bandstand set up across from Common Roots where announcing for the event will take place.
Don't forget, this fun event is also a charitable one! Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a new, unwrapped toy. Food items will be donated to the Moreau Community Center and toys will benefit local children through our area Marine detachment's Toys for Girls and Boys program.
- 9:00AM: Lineup begins at the corner of Feeder Dam Road and State Route 9 for larger vehicles and floats needing assembly (walking groups and those not being judged can come in later)
- 12:00PM: All participants need to be in their position in the lineup
- 1:00PM: The 39th Annual Holiday Parade begins!
