R&R Legacy Dispensary
R&R Legacy officially opened in November! They operate out of 12 Hudson Avenue in Glens Falls, where Pizza Hut used to be.
This store is under the same ownership as Legacy Dispensary in Colonie. They sell flowers, edibles, vapes, tinctures, concentrates, and similar cannabis products.
Although open a short time, they've racked up rave reviews: "Friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable. Great experience." "Great new store with amazing menu selection!" "The product selection was extensive and impressive."
High Society
High Society was the first dispensary in the Glens Falls area, and they're located at 345 Main Street in Hudson Falls. Having opened in late September, 2024, this business marks the 200th dispensary in New York State.
The dispensary carries a wide range of cannabis products, including flowers and edibles, and although they don't have a website, patrons can order ahead online using Dutchie.com.
Reviewers have commented: "Everyone there is so nice and helpful, great stuff, definitely worth checking out," and "The team is welcoming and friendly, new products consistently added each week," and "Beautiful shop, staff is extremely knowledgeable, prices are extremely reasonable."
Looking Ahead at Dispensaries in the Works
Stay tuned Glens Falls, because more dispensaries are coming! Here's what's been talked about on the scene lately:
GF Cannabis Co.
GF Cannabis Co. planned to operate out of 72 South Street in Glens Falls, where Dizzy Chicken used to reside. However, under state law dispensaries cannot operate within 2,000 feet of each other, and this storefront is within that range from R&R Legacy Dispensary.
Hopefully GF Cannabis Co. can work out the legalities or find another location! They have been approved by the Glens Falls Planning Board.
True North Cannabis
Like GF Cannabis Co., True North Cannabis is also working through some zoning issues before opening their doors, although their outlook appears favorable as they aim to operate out of 1471 Route 9, Lake George, at the northern end of the Outlets.
In addition to not being able to operate within 2,000 feet of another dispensary, businesses selling cannabis are also restricted by not being able to operate within 1,000 feet of certain facilities like churches, amusement centers, and parks.
This almost dispensary would be located within 1,000 feet of Gurney Lane Recreation Park and Lumberjack Pass Miniature Golf. However, the park and the storefront would be separated by a highway, and the mini golf business is far back enough that it could arguably fall outside of the range.
Providing they work through the red tape, True North Cannabis hopes to open in March of 2025.
Ganjala
Ganjala - the business name a combination of ganja and gondola - is looking to open out of the former Fall Line Ski Shop at 366 Quaker Road in Queensbury. There is still a Gore Mountain gondola on site.
This dispensary has been approved by both the Queensbury Planning Board and Glens Falls Planning Board. An opening date hasn't been announced yet, but they are planning to utilize a web or app based pre-order system.
High End Cannabis
High End Cannabis is reportedly seeking approval for a dispensary to go next door to Monty's discount Liquor Store on Route 9 in Queensbury.
Triedntru
The Glens Falls Chronicle reported on October 31, 2024, that a cannabis dispensary called Tridentru is being planned for South Glens Falls next to Matt Secor Brazilian Jiujitsu. They expect to open between December and February.
