Parking in Downtown Glens Falls, NY: Tips & Information

Finding a spot in downtown Glens Falls is easier than you'd think! Most street parking and lots are free, and the city's new interactive parking map makes it simple to find the right option whether you're stopping in for an hour or staying for a Harding Mazzotti Arena event.

Street Parking

Downtown street parking is color-coded on the city's map:

  • White streets: all-day free parking
  • Yellow streets: 3-hour free parking
  • Orange (Pearl Street): 4-hour free parking

Remember: no parking on any city street between 2am and 6am, and posted signage always overrides the map.

Public Parking Lots

Most municipal lots offer free parking with a 3-hour limit during weekday business hours, and are unrestricted evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overnight parking is allowed in city lots.

  • Lot 1: 3-hour free, weekdays 9am–6pm, 121 spaces
  • Lot 2 (near City Hall): 3-hour free, weekdays 9am–5pm, 25 spaces (90% permitted)
  • Lot 3 (near Centennial Circle): 3-hour free, weekdays 9am–5pm, 36 spaces (90% permitted)
  • Lot 4: 3-hour free, weekdays 9am–6pm, 22 spaces (90% permitted)
  • Lot 5 (near HM Arena/Oakland Ave): all-day free except during arena events, 92 spaces
  • Lot 6 (near HM Arena): 2-hour free except during arena events, 23 spaces
  • Lot 7 (near South St/The Ed): free 5pm–2am and weekends, 96 spaces

Parking Garages

  • Garage 8 (Clinton Ave area): permit parking only
  • Garage 9 (Park St area): hourly paid parking

Permit Parking

Permits are sold for the Exchange, Ridge, and Warren Street lots. The city sells up to 90% of spaces in these lots as permits, and the public can use whatever's left over.

Accessible Parking

Downtown Glens Falls has designated accessible parking on several streets, in municipal lots, and in the Park Street Garage. Accessible street spots are limited to 3 hours; most accessible lot spaces follow the same weekday time limits as regular spaces and are unrestricted evenings and weekends. All accessible parking is free except the Park Street Garage.

Parking farther out? There's a marked 5-minute walking route from the Pearl Street area to Centennial Circle for anyone who wants to park and walk in.
