About this event
In 1926, the Zonta Club of Glens Falls organized the construction of a public bathing house at Haviland Cove, bringing together nearly a hundred local residents, community leaders, students, and contractors. While the original building is gone, it began a legacy of community gatherings during the summer months along the Hudson River beach.
On Sunday, June 28, the community will gather for a potlock, historic celebration, and summer extravaganza with the Zonta Club of Glens Falls, Feeder Canal Alliance, Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, Former Recreation Superintendent Christine Merrill, Historian Wayne Wright, Stan Cianfarano, and more to celebrate the past, present, and future of Haviland Cove.
