For the 80th annual Artists of the Mohawk-Hudson Region, 126 contemporary artworks by 106 different artists were selected by Troy-based artist Michael Oatman. All of the artists live within a 100-mile radius of Glens Falls and the Capital Region.
At The Hyde Collection, the exhibition is currently displayed in three of the museum’s galleries, on its grounds, and for the first time, in the historic Hyde House.
The exhibition will be featured at The Hyde Collection from October 30th, 2016 – December 31st, 2016, but you can take the works home with you in the form of The Hyde Collection’s upcoming commemorative book. The special catalogue will feature:
- Essays by Oatman and The Hyde’s Director Erin Coe
- Full-color images of the exhibition’s 126 works, along with notes by Oatman
- An exhibition checklist
- An ephemeral timeline showcasing the exhibition’s 80-year history
The Hyde Collection’s Book Launch Event on Friday, December 2nd, will begin at 5:30pm. The $25 cost of admission will include an early copy of the catalogue. In addition, you’ll be able to meet the artists featured in the exhibition and have your copy of the book signed by Oatman.
After the Book Launch Event, copies of the book will be available for $30 each. Or, you can check out the exhibition at The Hyde Collection for regular admission price.
