Looking to fill your fall weekends with seasonal fun with the family? There’s plenty to go around in Glens Falls and close by! We’ve rounded up our top favorite family-friendly fall activities near Glens Falls you can enjoy with the kids or friends.

Partner Spotlight: Journey Your Way Through a Corn Maze & Explore Fall Attractions at Ellms Family Farm

Ellms Family Farm in Ballston Spa makes for an easy day trip for Glens Falls families chasing the best family-friendly corn maze in the region. Beyond the flagship maze, a rotating lineup of themed mini mazes gives families more ground to cover, from a storybook-style walk-through to a color-coded rope maze that turns navigation into a relay race.

The farm has a way of keeping the energy up between mazes. Bouncing takes over at the Jumping Pillow and Pumpkin Pad, while the apple cannons draw a crowd of kids testing their aim. Down at the Sound Garden, the mood shifts to something quieter and more playful, with farm tools rigged up as instruments for anyone who wants to make a little noise. The robotic Chicken Show adds a burst of the unexpected, and the farm's animals give visitors a reason to slow down and look around.

For families who like getting their hands dirty, gemstone mining offers a shot at digging up something worth keeping, and the Mini Excavators let visitors move real piles of stone like they're working a construction site.

Add in the ziplines for anyone chasing a bit more speed, and the farm ends up feeling less like a single attraction and more like a full day's worth of different moods and paces.

Why It's a Local Favorite

"There was a lot to do here, and my son had a great time playing on the trampolines and ride-on games. The corn maze was a lot of fun as well. Couldn't ask for much more for a fall weekend day trip." - Andrew H. (Google Review)

FAQs About Ellms Family Farm

The farm draws crowds during peak fall weekends, but visitors note that attractions are spread across the property, which helps keep the visit from feeling overcrowded even on busier days.
