Anthony Richichi, a local, award-winning artist and published children’s book author, will promote his second book at World Awareness Children’s Museum this Saturday, November 19. Bring the little ones for a special reading, and to get your book signed!
Richichi’s first book, Colorworld, was published in 2021. This new book is the second in the series, titled Colorworld: The Adirondack Adventure. The story follows Henry and Captain Tony as they creatively explore the many wonders of the Adirondacks.
“I’ve always loved the Adirondacks, and as I begin to expand on my Colorworld book series I want my first adventure book to be about this area,” Richichi said in a statement. “There is so much to appreciate in the Adirondacks, and this book follows a little boy and his imaginary friends as he conjures up an Adirondack adventure with his artwork and imagination.”
Books will be available for sale and to get signed during the event. This program is appropriate for all ages, and is included with museum admission.
Don’t think you’re familiar with Richichi’s other work? He’s actually the artist who painted the giant Adirondack chair, unveiled last April at Glens Falls Wing Fest, that sits by Centennial Circle. The author/illustrator has an impressive resume: he has a comic book series, is in a band, has other art displayed throughout the region, and he’s the lead illustrator at Saratoga Springs Publishing.
After you check out this Saturday’s author event with Richichi at WACM, return on Sunday for a Thanksgiving Paint & Sip.
