Freedom Park in Queensbury is a great playground for younger kids, from toddlers to 9 years old. The large playground features swings, slides, and more, and the park also contains picnic tables that are open to the public.
Established in 2001, Freedom Park was created thanks to the efforts of the local Glens Falls Kiwanis and the Glens Falls Independent Living Center. Construction of the site was funded through donations.
The park's playground features a barrier-free area that is great for children with a variety of physical abilities. Visitors can expect to find the following amenities:
- 6,200-sq. ft Handicap Accessible Playground (Swings, Slides, Sand Table, Climbing Structures, etc.)
- Picnic Tables
- Portable Restroom (Open Seasonally)
- Parking Off Glenwood Avenue
Freedom Park is open from April through November during daylight hours. Dogs are not allowed in the park.
