Representatives of Feigenbaum Cleaners, Bonacio Construction and the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce celebrate the grand opening of a new store.
Feigenbaum Cleaners, a fixture in the Glens Falls community for decades, has expanded again, opening a new store in Saratoga Springs.
A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of Feigenbaum Cleaners at Market Center, 33 Railroad Place in downtown Saratoga Springs on Oct. 24.
The Railroad Place opening marks the second Saratoga Springs store for Feigenbaums. The other is at Wilton Square.
The previous store on West Avenue was relocated to the Market Center location in the downtown hub area.
Todd Feigenbaum, president and CEO, presided over the event, with Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce President Todd Shimkus and Bonacio Construction Inc. in supportive attendance.
“We’re very excited to be a tenant at Market Center. Our new location will be so convenient for customers,” said Feigenbaum. “The building is spectacular, and we look forward to meeting the clothing care needs of all our friends and neighbors.”
Services at Feigenbaum’s include alterations and repairs with an on-site seamstress Monday thru Saturday and expert care for garments, leathers, and furs.
“We decided to add a seamstress on Saturdays, because some people just can’t make it in for a fitting during the week, so now we’ll have a seamstress on site six days a week,” said Feigenbaum.
Feigenbaum Cleaners uses System K4, an environment friendly dry cleaning process. The company said it was one of the first in the United States to adopt the process.
Feigenbaum said the downtown location provides convenient parking, with 15-minute parking in front of the store and free parking in the adjacent parking garage. Feigenbaum’s also offers free pickup and delivery throughout the Saratoga area.
The popular Market Center built by Bonacio Construction has luxury apartments that are close to 75 percent occupied since opening this summer, as well as a Price Chopper store.
Family owned and operated since 1917, Feigenbaum Cleaners is the oldest dry cleaning business in the region. Store hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
