The Washington County Fair announced that the organization’s general manager, Mark St. Jacques, fair board of director, Renee St. Jacques, and fair marketing and public relations representative, Ida Williams, will be presenting at the New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs 125th Annual Convention on Jan. 19 and 20.
R. Harry Booth, Washington County Fair president, and second vice president of NYSAAF said, “We are pleased to have three of our people presenting at this year’s NYSAAF Convention at the Riverside Convention Center in Rochester. The convention draws organizers from 52 counties and the State Fair.”
Mark St. Jacques will be a panel member in a seminar that covers the future of livestock at fairs.
Renee St. Jacques will be a panel member in a workshop titled “Getting Younger People Involved in Your Fair.”
“Advertising That Works and the Role of Social Media” is the forum being presented by Williams.
“This will be my third convention,” said Williams, “and I am looking forward to sharing and exchanging practices and ideas with others involved in fair and expo planning. The Washington County Fair has seen record attendance for the past several years, primarily because it is a great value for family entertainment. We have had good weather, support from fair partners and I get to work with a creative group of people that comprise the advertising committee.”
The New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs mission is to promote and encourage agriculture, horticulture and the domestic arts through annual fairs of member organizations, to further interest in the material and educational development of agricultural and industry in the state, to encourage and assist in the development and improvement of fairs and expositions and to foster a spirit of cooperation among its members and to exchange ideas on management and problems of general interest.
