Stewart’s Shops, operating some 330 stores throughout upstate New York and southern Vermont, has partnered with Hilltop Construction Co. of Hudson Falls on several projects this year.
According to Hilltop President, Tom Albrecht, his business continues its partnership with Stewart’s after four years of building and remodeling several shops.
“We turn to Hilltop for many of our projects, as we have an appreciation for their high quality of work and dependability,” said Maria D’Amelia, public relations specialist for Stewart’s.
D’Amelia said Stewart’s Shops is implementing new features within some of their store sites. This includes the construction of walk-in beer coolers, fresh-made pizza areas, and fresh-made sub cases in some new or remodeled shops. Some shops will also receive expanded parking areas.
“It depends on the size and the needs of the particular community,” said D’Amelia. “Some digital signage for gas pricing and LED lighting are also being incorporated at some locations. Implemented features are shop-specific.”
Hilltop is currently involved with the construction of new Stewart’s shops in West Cohoes, Greenwich, Hamburg St. in Schenectady, Pleasant St. in Keesville, and Freeman’s Bridge Road in Glenville. The company is also overseeing the remodeling of a shop in Oneonta.
“They were also involved in Galway, which just opened in May,” said D’Amelia. Of Hilltop’s partnership with Stewart’s Shops, Albrecht said there is potential for his company to be involved with fourteen new projects by the end of the year.
“Our relationship with Stewart’s is based on trust and quality,” said Albrecht. “Our company’s work gives them greater confidence to commit to a package deal.”
