Business Report: Chamber Showcase Has ‘Healthy’ Focus

BY PETER AUST

Have you ever thought about how healthy your
business is? Of course, when we say healthy, we’re
referring to all aspects of your business.

Successful companies have found various ways
to integrate a healthy focus in their operations that
incorporates all aspects of their business, from
financial to organizational health, employee to
environmental health.

That’s why the Adirondack Regional Chamber
of Commerce has recreated our annual business
show into the BusinessPulse, an expo of regional
businesses who want to build business-to-business
relationships with other successful and ‘healthy’
companies.
The Chamber’s BusinessPulse expo, being held on
Thursday, Oct. 29 in a new venue, the gymnasium
of SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, will provide
exhibitors and attendees with opportunities
to interact, share business information, build
relationships and of course, exchange business cards.

Exhibitors will have the chance to network
amongst themselves from 3-4 p.m. and then the
doors open to the public at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Keeping the health theme front and center during
the BusinessPulse, complimentary and delicious
health-conscious food samples and hors d’oeuvres
will be offered throughout the expo from many
of our region’s finest restaurants, in addition to
numerous live culinary demonstrations from SUNY
Adirondack and others.

A cash bar will also be available. Most importantly,
the 90 exhibitors will have the ability to showcase
their wide array of products and services in an
easily accessible, community-oriented environment
at SUNY Adirondack that will encourage both
consumer and business interaction.

This promises to be a terrific showcase at this new
venue providing more exposure to exhibitors than
ever before. Also planned are businesses providing
information on financial health, HR health,
technology health, massages, fitness demonstrations
and a new Health Tip Challenge. This interactive
challenge encourages people to visit the various
exhibitors to learn about and collect a healthy
business “tip”, with an individual collecting the
most tips winning a prize package worth over $500.
This is an all-new feature for this signature event of the ARCC.

We believe our Chamber provides the most
valuable means for introducing businesses to other
businesses in the region through events like this new
BusinessPulse showcase. When local businesses
strive to do business with other local businesses,
our local economy wins big.

People remain employed and new jobs are
created, the vital key to a successful community.
This expo event highlights many of the tremendous
companies we have in our region and provides people
opportunities to learn more about them and build
strong business relationships. The event is open to
business people free of charge with a business card,
and to the public for a nominal fee.

Exhibit space is limited to 90 exhibitors so early
registration is encouraged to ensure availability.
For more information on the new BusinessPulse
showcase, contact Doreen Kelly at the ARCC, dkelly@
adirondackchamber.org or via phone at 798-1761.
Registration information is available on our website
events page at adirondackchamber.org.

We look forward to seeing you at the BusinessPulse
at SUNY Adirondack. I promise you won’t be
disappointed.

Aust is the president and CEO of the Adirondack
Regional Chamber of Commerce.
