The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) recently awarded Tim C. Merrill, RFC, of Asset Strategies in Glens Falls the “ethics approved seal” for adherence to the IARFC Code of Ethics.
The verification of background included background checks of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), state licensing records and internet recognition searches. A clean record for the past five years satisfies the IARFC requirements for being ethics Approved.
The IARFC, founded in 1984, is a nonprofit credentialing organization formed to foster public confidence in the financial planning profession. Its professional designation, Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), is awarded to those consultants who can meet the high standards of education, experience and integrity that are required of members.

Adirondack Technical Solutions (ADKtechs), an IT and network security company based in Argyle, announced three new hires.
Andrew Castrantas has joined the team as corporate account manager. He brings over six years of business development and account management experience.
In his new position, Castrantas will develop and build relationships with clients through customized and individualized IT solutions. He is responsible for building ADKtechs’ client base throughout the greater Capital Region.
Heather Tifft has joined the team as corporate account
manager.
Tifft spent her career in a variety of industries including medical devices, woodworking, and telecommunications before joining the ADKtechs team. She has a B.S. in Business and technology management from Clarkson University and has a strong customer service and sales background.
William “Bill” Kay has joined the team as a level I help desk engineer.
Kay is a 2002 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force where he gained experience in the field of communications.
He has helped maintain and secure confidential computer and VOIP networks in the world. In the military service, Kay traveled around the world, from Europe to Asia. After the military, he moved back to the Hudson Falls area and is currently pursuing a degree in cyber security at SUNY Adirondack.
He will use his experience in the security and networking fields to help clients maximize the potential of their networks.
