At the SIA Snowsports Industry Show in Denver recently, Skiing Business Magazine awarded the Sports Page Ski Shop in Queensbury for the Best Backshop Ski & Snowboard Tuning in the USA for the second consecutive year. The Sports Page was nominated among other top specialty retail ski shops around the Country and won the award based on votes from ski and snowboard manufacturers and industry reps. The store was also a finalist for two other national awards this year: Best Family Shop and Best Backshop Bootfitting.

The Sports Page’s expert backshop offers everything from a basic tune, to a full race setup. Their custom bootfitting process includes properly fitting each customer at the point of sale and guaranteeing their comfort and 100% satisfaction, after the sale. They specialize in handling minor tweaks in stance alignment and leveling, to complete boot build-outs. “Regardless of what service we are providing individual customers in the backshop or on the showroom floor, our promise has always been about consistency and performance,” said Higley.

Sports Page was founded in 1982 by Gary and Susan Higley. Originally a multi-sport retail store, Sports Page evolved into a specialty ski and snowboard shop in the mid-1980’s. Gary took his passion and experience as a nationally ranked ski racer to the business world, where he and wife, Susan built a reputation throughout the Northeast for providing the latest products and expert ski services.
