Community, Work & Independence, Inc. (CWI) announces the opening of its new community services office for people with disabilities or other needs, located at 10 Harlem Street, Glens Falls. The office opened with a ribbon cutting on September 12.
The services administered from the site will include service coordination, employment services, in-home services as well as other resources to promote community involvement. The new facility will house 30 staff and serve more than 700 people with disabilities or other needs in Warren, Washington, Saratoga and Essex Counties.
“We are pleased to open our new facility which will help us continue to provide and expand our diverse service offerings for people with disabilities or other barriers,” said Mark Donahue, CWI President and CEO.
Community, Work & Independence (CWI) provides residential, day, community, clinical and employment services to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities or other barriers. CWI serves more than 1,200 individuals monthly in Warren, Washington, Northern Saratoga and Essex counties. CWI is one of the region’s five largest employers and operates a manufacturing and production facility which generates more than $3 million in revenue. The organization is the purveyor of more than 10 New York State Preferred Source contracts, including the production of toilet tissue, paper towels and desk calendars.
