South Glens Falls Police Department was on hand to discuss bicycle safety at GFNB’s Community Appreciation Day in mid-August.
The South Glens Falls Office of Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company raised funds and collected school supplies for the Moreau Community Center during a Community Appreciation Day on Thursday, August 16.
The “Off to School”-themed event included free pizza and ice cream, as well as back-to-school information. The South Glens Falls Police Department discussed bicycle safety, while Saratoga County EOC Head Start offered instruction on proper car seat installation. In addition, a South Glens Falls school bus was on site for families to tour.
A bake sale and silent auction generated approximately $240 for the Moreau Community Center, and the community donated three boxes of new school items such as paper, pens, crayons and glue sticks.
The Community Appreciation Day was held to show the Bank’s appreciation for its neighbors, while assisting local causes. The event was one of many at Glens Falls National Bank offices across the region this year.
