Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. announced a two promotions and two appointments.

Erin McLaughlin was promoted to officer and branch manager of the Fort Edward and Washington County offices. Mickey Orta was promoted to senior vice president of wealth management.

Vice President Rose Ann Savage was appointed Salem branch manager and Amber Marriott was appointed Cambridge branch manager.

p brief - erin mclaughlin.jpgMcLaughlin will oversee operations at the Fort Edward and Washington County offices. She joined the bank in 2002 and most recently served as assistant branch manager for the main office in downtown Glens Falls.

McLaughlin has an associate’s degree in business administration from SUNY Adirondack. She is a team captain for Relay for Life, a volunteer with the VITA free tax preparation program and was elected to the bank’s High Performance Club in 2010.

Orta serves on the company’s senior management team and oversees the Wealth Management Division, which includes the Trust, Investment and Retirement Services and LPL teams. He continues to serve as portfolio manager for the North Country Equity Growth Fund.

p brief - mickey orta.jpgOrta joined the bank in 1998 as a management trainee and went on to hold various positions in the Investment Department, including serving most recently as department manager.

Orta holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from SUNY Plattsburgh and is a certified trust and financial advisor. He is a graduate of Queensbury High School and the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Program. He serves on the board for the WAIT House as well as the Queensbury Community Scholarship Association.

Savage will oversee operations at the Salem office and retain additional business development responsibilities from her previous position as a business development professional. She joined the company in 2005.

p brief - rose ann savage.jpgSavage has a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Rose, an MBA from Sage College and completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

She is active in the community in board and committee roles with the Salem Rotary Club, Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Historic Salem Courthouse Preservation Association, and the Salem Van Endeavor. She is also a volunteer with the Salem United Methodist Church and the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.

Marriott will oversee operations at the Cambridge office. She joined the company in 2006 and most recently served as Salem branch manager.

p brief - joseph_badolato.jpgKeyBank announced that Joseph J. Badolato has been named financial advisor and vice president for Key Investment Services in the Capital Region.

Badolato is responsible for providing clients with comprehensive financial solutions covering investment planning and insurance needs.

He has more than 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry and worked with individuals, professionals and business owners in areas of investment planning, risk management, retirement planning, capital preservation and wealth transfer.

Previously, Badolato spent eight years as vice president, financial consultant and certified retirement counselor for Citizens Investment Services. Before that he spent four years at AXA Advisors LLC, in Clifton Park as a financial advisor and investment advisory representative.

Badolato earned his A.A.S. degree in computer science and business administration from Ulster County Community College. He holds his Series 7 and 66 FINRA licenses, and a New York state life, health & long-term care certified license.

Sharon A. Burstein, author of “Life Snacks 50: Tasty Motivational Messages” will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Women in Business Group of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at thee Chamber office, 2176 Route 9, Lake George.

The group was formed by the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2014 to empower and mentor women of all ages.

Each monthly meeting includes a guest speaker.

Its projects include supporting local food banks, collecting school supplies for local elementary school children, and supporting Wiawaka Holiday House, Double H Ranch, the Future Business Leaders of America at Lake George High School, and Women in Need (W.I.N.) of Lake George.

Lauren A. Rowland, an employee of the Saratoga County Fair, was appointed the District 2 director for the New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs for 2016-2017.

The district encompasses the Altamont Fair, Greene County Youth Fair, Fonda Fair, Washington County Fair, Schaghticoke Fair, and the Saratoga County Fair.

Her duties will include the NYSAAF college scholarship program for those fairs, as well as coordinating annual meetings of the district fairs.

Rowland’s father was the general manager of the Saratoga County Fair for 19 years. She officially took over the program at the age of 18. She was elected to the board of directors of the Saratoga County Agricultural Society in 2010, and has served or chaired almost all of the 21 different committees that are involved with the presentation of the annual fair. She currently serves on the publicity, membership, entertainment and commercial exhibits committees.

She earned a degree in communications with a concentration in public relations. She has held educational, staff and management positions with the Saratoga Springs City Center, the Saratoga County Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau, and the International Association of Fairs and Expositions. She serves on the board of directors of the Saratoga County Agricultural Society, has held various positions with the state Association of Agricultural Fairs, and is a member of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, the Greenfield Grange, and the Greenfield Community & Business Association.
