Business partners Sacha Cleavland and Andrew Lewis are making a name for themselves in an industry that most people might shy away from.
Between their cleaning service, Hogwash, and their newly established port-a-potty business, Party Pooperz, the duo is helping the North Country stay clean.
“We recently started Party Pooperz as we found there was a need for such a service,” said Cleavland.
She said their approach to Party Pooperz is similar to Hogwash in that they want to make the experience unique and different.
“That is what sets us apart from any other company in the area. Our portable restrooms run from very basic to higher end,” she said.
Cleavland said the units come in various colors and options, depending on the type of event they will be used at. She said they try to meet every event need by offering units with sinks, paper towels, hand sanitizer, cup holders, phone holders and hooks. They offer fresh-water flush units and over-sized units for wheelchair accessibility.
“Our units are the cleanest you will find,” she said. “We pride ourselves on the cleanliness we offer and we are experts in this area. Upon opening the door to our units, you will not be overwhelmed with a god awful cherry smell, but a refreshing scent of cochinilla, apple or fresh linen. Believe it or not, you will not smell one ounce of anything but fresh clean scent.”
“It is almost like using your normal restroom. Clean and unique units are what makes ours different than some of the established local companies. Our units were made to our preferred liking and everything is brand new,” said Cleavland.
The company services customers in a 50-mile radius from its Argyle base for the Hogwash cleaning business and a 20-30 miles radius for Party Pooperz. Most of their work is in Warren County, however they do travel as far south as Clifton Park and as far north as Essex County.
“If the work is worth the drive, we have no issue doing it,” said Cleavland.
Hogwash Cleaning Solutions opened in 2009 by Lewis after he realized there was a huge potential to establish a different kind of cleaning company. She said Lewis “started this company with determination and dedication in his heart. He developed a wondrous relationship with many people in the area and his client list began to grow.”
“His strengths are in the areas I am not best and vice versa. We make a perfect team,” said Cleavland.
Previously, Cleavland worked as a financial service representative at Bank of America which transitioned to Berkshire Bank in Queensbury.
Hogwash Cleaning Solutions provides various services such as roof washing, house washing, concrete cleaning, power washing, gutter cleaning, fleet washing and janitorial services to both commercial and residential buildings.
Cleavland said both businesses are doing well.
“We continue to grow our client list and continue to be successful. Party Pooperz is off to a great start and with time, it will be just as successful as our other business. I can say working in various other service industries that customer service is the number one thing to keep in mind every time. When I took over Hogwash, I knew that the customer experience and customer service will always be priorities,” said Cleavland.
