The Double H Ranch celebrated the completion of a $3.5 million capital campaign and the construction of the new Riggi Family Raccoon Cabin in June.
The first capital campaign undertaken in the camp’s 26-year history, $3.5 million in donations was raised from the community. The gifts provided the Double H Ranch the opportunity to renovate two camper cabins and construct a new camper and medical volunteer cabin.
In addition to money raised for the capital campaign, the Double H Ranch raises $3.8 million annually for camp operations.
Launched in the summer of 2016 and led by campaign chairman Neil Golub, the upgraded buildings provide the campers with a safe, fun experience during their time at camp. The buildings will also house medical volunteers and staff and will provide an enhanced space for accessibility for children in wheelchairs
“Achieving this ambitious goal is a testament to the dedication and generosity of our community. We celebrate the successful completion of this Capital Campaign with the knowledge that it will enhance the year-round experiences for our campers and families,” said Max Yurenda, Double H CEO.
“We all take much pride in making this facility for the kids a reality. We were fortunate to meet all our time frames for complete fund raising and opened on time and on budget,” said Golub.
