The Washington County Local Development Corp. and the Adirondack Regional Chambers of Commerce honored the winners and nominees of the 2018 Washington County Business Awards at a luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Whitehall Athletic Club in Whitehall.
With over 75 people in attendance, the ARCC and Washington County LDC presented slate-carved awards to the winners of the four categories
Adirondack Studios in Argyle won in the Professional Business of the Year category.
Other nominees in that category were Capital Tractor Inc., Golden Goal Sports Park, Irving Tissue and Morcon Tissue.
Broadway Upstate in Hudson Falls was the recipient of the Rookie Business of the Year ward.
Nominees in that category included Bonnie & Clyde’s Gourmet on the Run and On the Rocks Pub.
Hunt Companies Inc. general contractors in Argyle was the Small Business of the Year winner
Other nominees in that category were Argyle Cheese Farmer, Bug U Pest Control, Lakeside General Store and Lavenlair Farms.
The Service, Hospitality & Restaurant Business of the Year winner was Battle Hill Brewing Co. in Fort Ann.
Other nominees were Rathbun’s Maple Sugar House Restaurant, Wedding Barn at Lakota’s Farm and the Whitehall Athletic Club.
“What a pleasure to see so many great businesses in Washington County come together and celebrate each other’s success” said Michael Bittel, ARCC president and CEO.
The awards were created from slate donated by Evergreen Slate in Granville and assembled by Creative Woodworking and Stone Tops in South Glens Falls.
