Since creating its annual scholarship program five years ago, SCA has given more than $300,000 to children of its employees. The company invites all high school seniors and college students who are enrolled full-time for the coming school year and whose parents have been employed by SCA for more than one year to apply. Students must be age 24 or under to qualify.
An independent organization, Scholarship America, reviewed all the applications and selected the 41 winners, based on their academic achievements, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and an outside appraisal.
