Radio station Fox Sports Radio WMML 1230-AM, owned and operated locally by Queensbury-based Adirondack Broadcasting, will broadcast a local high school football game every week during the 2012 season.
“We’ve added a number of high profile professional properties in the last six months, such as the Buffalo Bills and the New York Mets”, said Adirondack Broadcasting General Manager Mike Thompson. “But this could be our most significant addition. High school football is part of the bedrock of our community, and we are looking forward to showcasing some of the finest young athletes in the area.”
John Lawrence will handle the play-by-play duties with the color commentary provided by Rick Harrington.
WMML-AM will broadcast seven regular season games plus selected local playoff games this fall.
The next high school football broadcast features Bishop Gibbons at Warrensburg on Saturday, September 15 at 1:30 pm., with Johnstown at Glens Falls the following week.
