The winners of the second annual Ethics in Business Awards for the Glens Falls region were announced by the Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center, which sponsors the awards.

Dave King is the owner of Lake George RV Park. Matt Funiciello is the recipient from Rock Hill Bakehouse and Jennifer Islas is the owner of Ray of Light Fitness.
The winners will be honored at a banquet April 27 at Hiland Park in Queensbury, with NewsChannel13 anchor Benita Zahn, a well-known reporter on health issues, as the emcee.
Last year’s premiere of the awards banquet, held at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, sold out, drawing hundreds of guests. Tickets for this year’s event will soon be available through the center, by calling 747-2994, and more information on the center can be found on its website, adirondacksamaritan.org.
“We at the Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center are proud to honor such fine local businesses,” said Joseph Melucci, president of the center’s board, about this year’s winners. “The selection process is not an easy one, and the owners and employees of these three businesses should be proud of the reputation they have in our community.” Nominated businesses are reviewed in an extensive process, including in-person interviews, by business students at SUNY Adirondack under the direction of Andrew Costa, a business teacher at the college.
The class makes recommendations to a panel of board members and citizens, which makes the final selections.
