The Health Promotion Center of Glens Falls Hospital has launched a campaign focused on encouraging the community to take proactive steps to good health.
The goal of the program is to help individuals and families to make healthier eating choices, increase activity and use preventative care – in the community, the workplace, and the school.
“We are excited to provide a resource that will help our community members incorporate healthy ideas into their lives,” says Melissa Chinigo, program coordinator, Health Promotion Center. “Quick and easy tips on making good moves will be all around you. Being healthier can be easy – and fun.”
Glens Falls Hospital’s Health Promotion Center (HPC) consists of three grant funded initiatives focused on improving the health and well-being of the people in our region. Through these programs, HPC staff partner year-round with school districts, businesses, communities, hospitals and healthcare provider practices to support healthy lifestyles for our patients and community members.
Glens Falls Hospital, founded in 1897, is a 410-bed, not-for-profit, community hospital serving a six-county region of Northeastern New York. For more information, visit www.glensfallshospital.org or www.facebook.com/GlensFallsHospital.
