Matt Schuette, RHU, CHHC of Jaeger & Flynn Associates, which has offices in Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs, was installed recently as president of the Albany Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), an organization of health insurance agents, brokers, and professionals.
Schuette, of Queensbury, will serve a two-year term through June 30, 2015. Schuette has been assisting businesses with their health care needs for 20 years.
“An employer’s job of solving the Healthcare puzzle has become infinitely more complex due to the Affordable Care Act (ACA),” he said. “Our clients rely on us to provide them with the best solutions not only to help manage health care costs, but equally important, to know how to navigate through a very complex set of often conflicting federal and state laws. Businesses want to work with professional brokers that have access to all the tools that the industry offers.”
The 2013-2015 board, in addition to Schuette, includes: immediate past president Peter Andrew, CS Plus; president elect Erin Nevins, EP Nevins Insurance Agency; treasurer Amy Grabek, Ten Eyck Group; secretary Sharon Furbert, MVP Health Care.
The National Association of Health Underwriters represents more than 100,000 professional health insurance agents and brokers who provide insurance and guidance for millions of Americans.
