Adirondack Winery announced that
two wines from its newest varietal lines
earned medals at the recent New York State
Fair Commercial Wine Competition.
Adirondack Winery’s Seyval Blanc won a
gold medal, the only winery to win gold for
Seyval Blanc. Part of the company’s new
“Wine Maker Series”, Seyval was created
from grapes harvested in the Lake Ontario
region in 2012. The series, dubbed as “the
wines our Wine Maker loves to craft and
enjoy himself,” also includes a Baco Noir.
Adirondack Winery’s “White Diamond”,
which is part of the company’s new Jewel
Collection, snagged a silver medal at the
competition. Part of the Jewel Collection
trio, which also includes Pink Gem (a Niagara
blush) and Red Ruby (a red blend),
White Diamond was also released in May
2013.
White Diamond was created from Diamond varietal grapes harvested and crushed in 2012 in the Lake Ontario region; Adirondack Winery completes the entire wine fermentation and making process at its facility in Queensbury.
Adirondack Winery started entering wine competitions in early 2009 and with these latest awards, 36 of its wines have earned 78 medals in total, according to the company.
