Hudson River Community Credit Union
(HRCCU) and the Credit Union Association
of New York (CUANY) are again offering
scholarships to area high school seniors.
Applications for the 2014 programs are
now available at guidance offices of high
schools in the HRCCU service area and
online at hrccu.org.
The CUANY Scholarship Program makes
available scholarship awards of $1,000 and
$500 to eligible high school seniors across
New York state. Awards are determined by
applicant scholastic achievement, character,
community involvement, leadership
qualities and financial need.
Scholarship applications will be accepted
until Jan. 17.
In conjunction with the Credit Union Association of New York’s scholarship program, HRCCU offers its own scholarships. The credit union will award $1,000 to five students and $1,000 to one recipient of the Making Life Better Scholarship.
To be eligible, a student must be an HRCCU member in good standing, be a college-bound high school senior to either a two-year or four-year accredited educational institution and attending college for the first time in the fall of 2014. Those scholarship applications will be accepted until April 11.
