Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. promoted Business Development and Sales Manager Suzanna M. Bernd to senior vice president.
Bernd oversees the bank’s sales efforts, relationships with community not-for-profits and Community Reinvestment Act reporting.
She joined Glens Falls National in 2008 as a municipal banking officer and has since held a number of positions within the Business Development, Sales and Municipal Banking departments.
She was named vice president and manager of Business Development, Sales and Municipal Banking in 2013.
A native of Altamont, Mo., Bernd is a graduate of Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in computer science and music performance. She also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts Administration from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Active in her community, Bernd is vice president of the Glens Falls Symphony Board and Youth Exchange Committee Chair for the Glens Falls Rotary Club and Rotary International District 7190.
She is also a member of the NYSPHSAA state basketball tournament marketing committee, a member of the Lake George Central School District’s board of directors Community Relations Committee, a Lake George PTSO parent volunteer, and a Lake George Youth Commission coach.
Bernd resides in Lake George with her husband, Ben Gorey, and daughters Madeline and Samantha.
