In less than a year since transforming from a
franchise office into an independent brokerage,
Saratoga Springs-based Equitas Realty is expanding
to Glens Falls.
The new office, opening in mid-August, will
be its second location. It is located in the Rogers
Building at 21 Bay St.
The brokerage and its agents have been serving
the Glens Falls market out of its Saratoga
Springs office.
Janet Besheer, broker/owner of Equitas Realty,
said the new Glens Falls office presence reflects
the brokerage’s recognition of the exciting renaissance
and growth of the Glens Falls market.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the
developments in and around Glens Falls,” she
said. “Developers like Glen Street Associates
are investing in the community, restaurants are
buzzing most nights of the week, and home buyers
are seeing the excellent values that exist in this
wonderful area.”
According to Besheer, the company had with
over $53 million in 2014 sales and has grown
into one of the top real estate brokerages in the
entire Greater Capital Region, as recognized in
2015 by the Albany Business Review. She said it
is the largest woman owned real estate company
in the area.
Its current roster of 40 independent Realtors
serve clients from Albany to Lake George.
“The Rogers building is another restored
jewel in the Glens Falls market by Glen Street
Associates and we feel honored to be the final
tenant in the keystone position of this historic
property,” said Justin White, managing director
of Equitas Realty. “This location, right across from
the Crandall Library Park at the intersection of
Bay and Maple puts us right in the heart of one of
upstate New York’s oldest, prominent cities, and
the gateway to the Adirondacks.”
Peter Hoffman, president of Glen Street Associates,
said “we couldn’t be happier to complete the
renovation of the Rogers Building with a quality
real estate brokerage like Equitas Realty. I’m sure
that having their agents and brand residing at
21 Bay St. will be a great addition to Glens Falls
business community.”
