After winning back-to-back US Search
Awards in 2013 and 2014, Mannix Marketing
Inc. was in the running for a third consecutive
award.
In September, the Glens Falls-based digital
marketing company was named to the shortlist
for the 2015 awards in three categories: Best Use
of Search–Travel/Leisure, Best Low Budget
Campaign and Best Use of Social Media in a
Search Campaign.
It was Mannix Marketing’s work on an
organic search engine optimization and content
development campaign for Saratoga.com that
earned them the nomination for Best Use of
Search–Travel/Leisure, the company said.
The campaign was launched in an effort to
increase traffic to Saratoga.com and build
brand recognition.
The company said it also aimed to turn
Saratoga.com into a top online destination for
residents and visitors seeking information on
what’s happening in the Saratoga region and
ultimately convert those visitors into business
leads for advertisers on the site.
Officials said that despite facing steep
competition from national brands who are
increasingly encroaching on regional websites,
Mannix Marketing’s campaign for Saratoga.com saw impressive results. Saratoga.com
now boasts number-one placements in
organic search results for hundreds of targeted
keywords. The site’s visibility has increased
substantially, while organic search traffic to
the site has increased by more than 20 percent
year over year.
According to the company, the campaign also
resulted in a nearly 85 percent increase in traffic from Facebook to Saratoga.com, increased
revenue generated from Google traffic and
increased page views for key sections of the
Saratoga.com website, including the “What’s
New” section, the Racetrack Guide and the
Summer Guide in 2015, compared to 2014.
