The Adirondack Trust Co. Community Fund recently
concluded its 2015 Autumn of Giving Match
Campaign, raising $80,302 to benefit local charities
through the ATCCF Lend-A-Hand Grant Program.
During the month-long campaign, $40,151 was
donated by the community and business partners,
fund officials said. The Adirondack Trust Co.
matched all donations, dollar for dollar, for another
$40,151.
The community-wide initiative brought 13
participating business partners, the Adirondack
Trust Co., and local citizens together to increase
awareness of the Community Fund, and raise funds
to support area nonprofit organizations. Since its
inception in 2013, the Autumn of Giving Campaign
has raised over $125,000 from the community. With
the bank match, the overall total now raised exceeds
$250,000, officials said.
Speaking on behalf of the ATCCF Advisory
Committee, Mary Gavin, volunteer chairwoman,
said, “We are very grateful to the individual donors,
business partners and media partners, as well as the
Adirondack Trust Co. for their generous support.
Our community is what makes this event such a
success each year.
“As a result of the funds now available, the 2015
Lend-A-Hand Grant Awards (to be presented on
Dec. 15) will provide support to 23 local nonprofits,
each with a very worthy mission. It is because of
the work of these nonprofits that our community
continues to grow and thrive. ”
The Community Fund was established in 2009 to
serve as a perpetual source of philanthropic support
for the needs of local charities. It is an independent
501(c) (3) charitable organization. Adirondack
Trust Co. serves as the trustee and administrator,
with guidance from the Independent Advisory
Committee.
