
The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC) announced that Thomas Albrecht was elected to chairman of the board of directors for 2016.
Albrecht has been a member of the board of directors since 2009, a member of the Chamber through Hilltop Construction Co. since 2000, and served as the chairman-elect in 2015.
“As we begin 2016 it’s refreshing to be the new chairman of the ARCC board, leading a group of phenomenal, professional leaders and working to make our community a better place to live and raise our families,” said Albrecht.
In addition to Albrecht, the following people were elected to serve as officers of the in 2016:
Diane Shugrue, president/CEO of Glens Falls Hospital, chairwoman-elect; Gregory Champion, Esq., managing partner, Bond, Schoeneck & King, vice chairman; Dr. Kristine Duffy, president, SUNY Adirondack, vice chairwoman; Timothy Jansen, owner, Wel-Dun Air & Water Systems, vice chairman; Eric Gilbert, CEO, Six Flags Great Escape, secretary; Michael D. Murray, assistant vice president of commercial lending, Adirondack Trust Co., treasurer; Thomas Guay, general manager, the Sagamore Resort, immediate past chairman.
The ARCC also welcomed the following new members of the board of directors:
Marti Burnley, vice president of human resources, Hudson Headwaters Health Network; Erin Coe, executive director, the Hyde Collection; Jared Humiston, president, Adirondack Technical Solutions; Sara Lindsell, senior tax Manager, CMJ, LLP; Thomas Lloyd, owner, Adirondack Studios; Robert Sears, broker, Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate.
At a recent board meeting, the ARCC recognized for their dedicated service these members who served as directors and whose terms have expired: Sheridian Aiken, Saint- Gobain Performances Plastics Corp.; John Aspland Jr., Fitzgerald Morris Baker Firth PC; Richard Fuller, Richard Fuller CPA; L. Adam Gray, SheetLabels.com; and Christopher Scoville, Scoville Jewelers.
