The Adirondack Business Council of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 2016 Business of the Year Awards.
Awards will be presented to deserving ARCC member businesses for their achievements in business, economic, and quality of life contributions to the Adirondack region.
Recipients will be announced at the annual Business of the Year Awards Breakfast on June 14. Nominations are being accepted through Monday, May 2 for the following categories:
• Large Business of the Year Award: Recognition of established business of 51 or more employees.
• Professional Business of the Year Award: Recognition of established professional business (accountants, attorneys, doctors, architects, engineers, etc.) of two to 50 employees.
• Steven M. Sutton Small Business of the Year Award: Recognition of established business of two to 50 employees.
• Rookie Business of the Year Award: Recognition of a business in existence for three years or less, that shows great promise and potential for continued success and has at least two, but, no more than 50 employees.
• Independent Business of the Year Award: Recognition of an established business that is individually owned and operated, not supported or backed by corporations (i.e. no franchisees).
• Nonprofit Business of the Year Award: Recognition of a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 business whose organizational mission is reflective of community needs and has demonstrated contributions to the community’s quality of life.
• Healthy Workplace of the Year Award: Recognition of an established business that demonstrates a commitment to supporting the health and well-being of its employees.
