In 2017, the fund awarded $52,217 in “lend-a-hand” grants to 29 local, nonprofit organizations, supporting programs in such diverse areas as veterans’ outreach, mental health services, youth education and services, homelessness prevention, and the arts.
The fund also seeks to foster a community spirit of giving by providing donors with unique and flexible ways to manage charitable donations.
Grant recipients will be announced by the independent advisory committee in December.
