The Adirondack Thunder has announced the promotional schedule for the first half of the 2018-2019 season.
The Thunder’s home portion of the season will kick off at Cool Insuring Arena in downtown Glens Falls on Oct. 20 against the Brampton Beast. It will feature a light-up stick giveaway, presented by Saratoga Eagle, as well as a pregame party starting two hours before 7 p.m. puck drop.
Tickets are on sale now including the Stewart’s Four Pack: four tickets to opening night, four Thunder water bottles, four games of bowling at Kingpin’s Alley and a $20 gift card to Stewart’s Shops.

Saturday, Oct. 27 against the Worcester Railers, will be the Thunder’s annual Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by UA Local 773 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. Adirondack will rock red, white and blue military-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit local military charities.
On Nov. 24 a new promotion will be Hockey Fights Type 1 Diabetes night. The Thunder will wear specialty warmup jerseys, sponsored by Jake’s Heroes, JDRF and Hockey Fights T1D, that will be available for fans to bid on through a silent auction.
Adirondack plays host to a pair of collections in early December. Saturday, Dec. 1 is the annual canned food drive. People can bring a canned or non-perishable food item as a donation and receive a ticket redeemable for the Thunder game on Dec. 28. All collections will be donated to the Open Door Mission.
Dec. 8 is the Thunder coat drive People can bring a coat to donate and receive a ticket to the game on Jan. 4. This date also marks the initial postgame skate with the Thunder team, sponsored by Glens Falls Hospital.
Dec. 15 will be a combination night at Cool Insuring Arena as it is both Marvel Superhero night, as well as the annual Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Aviation Mall.
The Thunder will don Black Panther jerseys as they take on Star-Lord from Manchester. The game-worn Marvel jerseys will be auctioned offs after the game is played.
For Teddy Bear Toss night, people can toss a teddy bear on the ice after the first Thunder score of the game. They can bring their own bear or buy one in the lobby Everyone who has a bear to donate will receive a raffle ticket to win one of the Marvell Black Panther jerseys. All bears collected will be donated to the Salvation Army in Queensbury.
