Tiki Tours is enjoying a busy summer and to help accommodate its growing business, a new 12-passenger boat is being used.
Kolleen Cormie, manager at Tiki Tours, said the newest boat holds more passengers, allowing for bigger groups to ride together. Cormie said the boat is a perfect compliment to their summer tour business.
“We have been really busy all season. We started in June and will be finishing up in September. Most people notice that our new boat is much bigger than our boats from last year, “ said Cormie.
Cormie said like the smaller boats, this one come with amenities like speaker hookups.
“We still have bluetooth speakers and a toilet on board. We provide a cooler with ice, cups and plates. Passengers are still welcome to bring any food or drinks on their tour,” said Cormie.
Cormie said the boats are family friendly and require children under 12 to wear a life jacket at all times. They have also made booking convenient with an online option. Using the online option allows people to reserve a date and time in advance to avoid waiting in line in the morning.
She also said the tours provide a real up close and personal look at what Lake George is all about.
“We run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Our tours are an hour long. Our boat goes between 3 to 5 miles per hour. We have seen many common loon, ducks, heron, eagles and turtles on our tour. We have seen awesome firework shows and sunsets. This last week we celebrated ‘Clean the Queen’ by telling our guests about how important it is for us to do our part and keep the queen clean,” said Cormie.
Motorized tiki boats are available for 75-minute charters driven by state-certified captains.
Pricing is per passenger, with discounts offered to veterans.
Tours may be booked online or call 1-800-691-0770 to book a cruise outside of normal operating hours.
