Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company recently held a Community Appreciation Day at its Granville Office, at 8646 State Route 22.
The event on June 28 celebrated the branch’s 15th year and featured a “Salute to Local Heroes” theme with a National Guard tent, a Hug-A-Hero booth and vehicles on display, including a military humvee and a Granville fire truck.
Representatives from Granville EMS and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were also on site. Sheriff’s officers provided free finger-printing for children and brought along their K-9 unit.
To benefit the Granville Little League, the event included a bake sale and a raffle with 17 baskets of items donated from local businesses, as well as a patio set from the Granville-based Telescope Casual Furniture. In total, the branch raised several hundred dollars for the Granville Little League, whose baseball fields were destroyed during last year’s flooding. The proceeds will help the team with its efforts to repair the fields.
The Community Appreciation Day in Granville is one of many appreciation days that have taken or will take place at Glens Falls National Bank branches across the region this year. Glens Falls National Bank provides banking and financial services through 29 offices across five counties. It is a subsidiary of Arrow Financial Corporation, a multi-bank holding company headquartered in Glens Falls, New York.
