Warren Washington ARC (WWARC), a local nonprofit agency serving over 300 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Warren and Washington counties, will host a warehouse sale on May 18 to benefit the agency.
They will be collecting donated items from the community to put into this sale. Items may be dropped off at the WWARC office, 436 Quaker Road, Queensbury, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., through May 1.
Items that will not be accepted are: TVs, chairs, tires, batteries, computers, air conditioners, stuffed animals, mattresses, bedding, cloth furniture or major appliances. Clothing must be clean, folded (or on hangars) and free of holes and stains. Hangars would be appreciated.
The event will be held (rain or shine) inside the warehouse in the back of the building at 436 Quaker Road on Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. It will be cash and carry. No checks accepted and $50 minimum for credit card purchases.
WWARC staff will also be selling hot dogs, chips, popcorn, water and soda as part of the fundraiser.
There will also be a raffle opportunity for two tickets to the 2013 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester. The winner will receive two tickets to the PGA event, two nights lodging, catered lunches and dinners and shuttle service to and from the hotel. Only 200 raffle tickets will be sold at $50 each.
WWARC will continue to sell raffle tickets until they are sold out. The winner will be drawn on June 24.
Funds raised from the sale support WWARC’s efforts to provide residential services, day programs and family support services, such as the new Respite Center. The agency is a chapter of NYSARC, Inc., America’s largest non-profit organization supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families since 1949.
