Glenn L. Pearsall of the Glens Falls
UBS office was named
a senior portfolio manager
within the UBS
portfolio management
program.
The designation recognizes
an advanced
level of expertise in
professional portfolio
management, the company
said. To earn the designation, he needed
to meet a number of firm requirements and
complete a rigorous approval process.
Pearsall has been managing portfolios
on a discretionary basis since 1994 when he
completed the requirements as a certified
investment management analysts at the
Wharton School of Business at the University
of Pennsylvania.
As a senior portfolio manager,
Pearsall has a greater level of investment flexibility,
plus the ability to manage trust accounts
at Comerica and UBS Trust for clients on a
discretionary basis.
Rachel Sloan, CRPC of Sloan Advisory
Group in Glens Falls received the President¹s
Award for All-Around Excellence from her
supervisor, Todd Slingerland, President and
CEO of Capital Financial Planning.
The award is given to a financial advisor in
the group who is dedicated to client service,
continued learning in the industry, community
service, practice management and compliance.
The company said Sloan demonstrated all of
those qualities.
She received a commemorative plaque at the
annual awards banquet held in New York City
at the Marriott Lexington on Jan. 12.

The Hyde Collection announced Deborah
J. Lee as the its director of development.
Lee has extensive
non-profit experience
in the field of education
where she has held a
variety of senior development,
marketing, and
management positions.
She is responsible for
soliciting and securing
fundraising support
through grant writing, memberships, sponsorships,
the annual fund, major gifts, planned
giving, and special events for the museum.
Lee was as director of development at
Norwich Free Academy Foundation Inc. in
Norwich, Conn., where she managed the operations
of the NFA Foundation and directed all
aspects of development, constituent relations
and communications. She also coordinated
fundraising programs for the Slater Memorial
Museum, among other duties.
She previously worked as director of alumni
and development at The Williams School, New
London, Conn., and worked at the Kingswood-
Oxford School, West Hartford, Conn. as director
of the annual fund. Lee also worked at Capital
Repertory Company in Albany as director of
development and acting business manager. She
was also director of institutional advancement
at Albany Academy.
Originally from the Glens Falls region, Lee
holds a B.A. from SUNY at Buffalo.

designer and developer.

Fred Monroe of Queensbury, vice president
with Capital Financial Planning in Albany, received
the firm¹s David J. Ross, Sr. Award for community.
The company said Monroe gets up early
almost daily to train for the Tour de Cure supporting
the American Diabetes Association. He
first trained for a 50-mile bicycle ride, then a
62.5-mile ride, and now has set his sights on
100 miles. He has raised thousands of dollars
for the cause.
The award was created in honor of a financial
advisor with the firm who was dedicated to
community service and who passed away from
cancer in 2009.

(HRCCU) named Megan A. Houlihan as
vice president of operations
and card services.
In her new role, Houlihan
will manage all
electronic funds transfer
delivery channels/services
and oversee deposit
operations and marketing
communications staff.
Houlihan was recently
a senior consultant to KeyBank in Cleveland,
Ohio, for trust and custody operations.
She graduated from Fordham University
with bachelor of arts and master’s degrees in
economics.
A veteran of finance and business
development, she brings extensive experience
from Wachovia/Wells Fargo where she served for
11 years as vice president of risk management
in trust operations and four years as a senior
business analyst with Wilmington Trust in the
trust and custody operations department.
