The Warrensburg office of Glens Falls
National Bank and Trust Co. raised almost
$600 for the Warrensburgh Historical
Society and North Country Ministry during
its annual Community Appreciation Day
on July 17.
A basket raffle generated $585 for the
two nonprofits, both of which attended
with informational displays; plus, food
donations were collected for the Thurman
Food Pantry. In addition, the Historical
Society sold several tickets for its kayak
raffle fundraiser during the event.
The Community Appreciation Day also
included wagon rides by Our Simple Life
Farm, a Nettle Meadow Farm cheese tasting
and petting zoo, food, face-painting
and giveaways.
Additionally, the Fort Ann office of the
bank generated over $1,000 for the Fort
Ann Youth League’s playground project
during its baseball-themed Community
Appreciation Day on July 31.
A bake sale, raffle and donations raised
$1,018 for the playground project. In addition,
the Fort Ann Booster Club generated
$96 for its mission by selling Fort Ann
sports apparel on-site. The event also
included baseball-themed food, giveaways
and activities.
