The Conkling Center was presented with
the Community Leadership Award at the Tri-
County United Way annual recognition breakfast,
on May 5.
Barbara Sweet, executive director of the Tri-
Country United Way, presented the award to the
center for enhancing the quality of life of seniors
through thoughtful programming, transportation
services and community collaboration.
The Conkling Center, formerly known as
The Glens Falls Home, Inc., has been serving
seniors in the community for well over 100 years.
Its mission is to enhance the quality of life of
seniors 55-plus in the community, directly and
indirectly, by providing services, programs, and
opportunities to meet their changing needs.
