Apex Solar Power in Queensbury recently
donated its services for a Habitat for Humanity
at 8 Baker Ave., South Glens Falls.
The company is installing a 4,000-watt solar system as a part of the project for the Cicotte
family.
The system to be installed will save the
family close to $1,000 a year in electricity costs,
the company said. The panels have no moving
parts, and require no maintenance. The system
will produce clean power for 25-plus years, said
Brent McDevitt, director of sales at Apex Solar.
Apex is a selected installer for 9 NYSERDA sponsored
community Solarize programs in
New York, including Saratoga, Albany, Ulster,
and Dutchess counties.
