The Warrensburg office of Glens Falls
National Bank and Trust Co. raised almost
$1,500 for Operation Santa Claus during its
Community Appreciation Day in August.
Basket raffles and other fundraising activities
generated $1,469 in donations for Operation
Santa Claus, which provides food and clothing
to children in need during the holidays. The
event also collected food donations for a local
food pantry.
Meanwhile, the Aviation Road office of the
bank raised funds and awareness for Big Brothers
Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks during
its Community Appreciation Day.
Basket raffles and other fundraising activities
generated $415 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which
matches mentors with children facing adversity
to encourage one-to-one relationships that
change their lives for the better. The Community
Appreciation Day also featured food, activities
for kids, giveaways and more.
Also, the Granville office of the bank raised
over $500 for the Pember Library and Museum
during its Community Appreciation Day in
August. Raffles and other fundraising activities
generated $520 as well as donations of craft
supplies for the library.
The bank’s Exit 18 office raised over $1,000
for the Glens Falls Senior Center during its
Community Appreciation Day.
Basket raffles and other fundraising activities
generated $1,082 for the center’s heat assistance
program, which helps with heating bills for
seniors in need.
The bank’s Kingsbury office collected
donations for the SPCA during its Community
Appreciation Day in September.
Fundraising activities resulted in pet food as
well as some cash donations for the organization.
In addition, a Kingsbury Volunteer Hose
firetruck was on display to honor 9/11 victims,
and the Hudson River Music Hall provided
entertainment.
