Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, PC announced that Gretchen Guenther-Collins, J.D. M.S., CPA, has rejoined the firm in the capacity of tax manager.
Guenther-Collins is a graduate of the College of Saint Rose, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting as well as a Master of Science in Accounting. She was previously an audit manager with the firm from 2000-07 before taking a 10-year hiatus to pursue her own business and work in the legal and higher education industries.
She transitioned from an adjunct professor at the College of Saint Rose and began as a full-time accounting instructor at the college in January of 2007. She then rose to interim dean of the Huether School of Business in 2016. Meanwhile, she pursued her Juris Doctorate at Albany Law School and completed two legal internships before earning her degree in December 2014. She was admitted to the 3rd Department of the New York State Court System in July of 2015.
In her new role at TBC, Guenther-Collins will focus on individual and corporate taxation, including tax planning as well as tax compliance issues. She is presently serving as the treasurer of the board of directors of the Albany Damien Center and has held several roles in other nonprofit organizations.

Trampoline, a marketing and advertising agency in Glens Falls, announced the hiring of four new staffers in the third quarter, bringing the total number of jobs created in 2017 to seven.
The agency develops creative campaigns for companies in the industries of destination marketing, higher education, manufacturing and adventure sports.
Oliver Derosier of Glens Falls was hired as a graphic designer. He was an intern at Trampoline during the summer of 2016. He does for work six ski destinations.
Meg Erickson of Brant Lake was hired as a media and communications specialist. She has expertise in forecasting and reporting for the campaigns she develops across multiple social media platforms for counties and adventure tourism destinations.
Peter Gryga of Glens Falls was hired as a media and communications assistant. He has media planning and buying expertise, along with an account and project management background.
Megan Coloccia was hired as a project manager. She brings 10 years of industry experience to Trampoline. She manages current and prospective clients while supporting the internal teams.

Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. has promoted senior vice president Mickey Orta to group head for financial services.
In his new role, Orta adds oversight of the Insurance Division to his ongoing role as head of the Wealth Management Division, which includes serving as president of the North Country Investment Adviser and portfolio manager for the North Country Equity Growth Fund.
This new leadership role strategically aligns the company’s two primary sources of noninterest income. Orta will continue to report to the CEO.
Orta, who joined the bank in 1998, has a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from SUNY Plattsburgh and is a certified trust and financial advisor. Active in the community, he serves on the board for the Tri-County United Way as well as the Queensbury Community Scholarship Association.
