Fans of The Pizza Shop in Warrensburg are enjoying the benefits of the new 3918 Main St. location.
Owners Maggie and Giobanni Canepa purchased the space in May.
The new spot, right down the street from their previous location, has a completely renovated kitchen and a spacious dining room that Maggie Giobanni said meets the needs of their growing business that reopened earlier this month.
“We are really happy with the new space. It really seems to be working well,” said Canepa.
The PIzza Shop first opened on December 29, 2014, in a space that the couple had been renting. Canepa said they have been blessed since then with a loyal following.
Canepa said the space also has ample parking for patrons, which is something they knew was a must. One aspect that Canepa is particularly proud of is the artwork. The couple had local artists from Glens Falls paint murals that reflected their family and their journey together as a couple.
“It is really neat, and it showcases how much local talent we have here,” said Canepa.
Canepa said they shut the business down for five days in order to make needed renovations in the kitchen area. She said the space in the kitchen is much bigger than the old location, allowing them to make up to 12 pizzas at a time, as opposed to the eight they could fit before.
The shop is known for its hand-tossed, authentic Italian-style pizza using a 40-year-old family recipe and fresh dough made daily.
Canepa said she and her husband are grateful to all of those who have supported the business, and who have taken the time to get to get to know them.
“This community has really been so supportive and we appreciate it,” she said.
