TheWarren and Washington County Local Development corporations and SUNY Adirondack’s Office of Continuing Education are sponsoring a course for people interested in starting a small business or expanding an existing small business.
The 10-session program will take place 6-8 p.m. Mondays at the SUNY Adirondack Queensbury campus, the Hartford Central School District, or the Salem Central School District. It starts on March 7.
Each session covers different aspects of business planning that can be woven together to help people prepare a successful, targeted business plan to guide the launch or expansion of a business.
Session topics include marketing, bookkeeping, legal issues, financial projections, human resources and tools for small businesses. Speakers from local businesses and the SCORE business mentoring network offer information, tools, resources, and the benefit of their experiences.
Those who successfully complete the program may be eligible to apply for a small business loan through the Local Development Corp. (LDC).
